Understanding NDIS & HCP co-pay

If you have an Aged Care or NDIS package, your funding may cover the cost of meal preparation and delivery (approximately 70% of the total meal cost). You simply contribute towards the ingredients (around 30%). Your co-payment is clearly shown on each meal, so you always know exactly what you'll pay out of pocket.

Our Story

More than
just meals

Social Box began as a passion project built around fresh food and community. After running a restaurant in Hervey Bay and a fitness studio in Melbourne, we saw a growing need for fresh, NOT FROZEN prepared meals, particularly for older Australians and NDIS participants. That realisation led us to build Social Box in 2022 in our restaurant kitchen with a clear purpose: to make healthy meals more accessible across the Wide Bay region.

Today, every order does more than just deliver a nutritious meal. It helps us provide free meals to people in our community who are doing it tough, while also creating meaningful training and work experience opportunities for people with disabilities. At Social Box, we believe good food should nourish both people and community.
