Who We Are

More than a meal —
a community story

Social Box started at our own Cafe-Kitchen. As a family, we saw firsthand how hard it can be to access fresh, nutritious meals — especially for older people, people living with different ability, and families who just need a little extra support or convenience. Too often, the options were frozen, highly processed, or impersonal. We knew there had to be a better way.

So we created Social Box. Founded by Shami and his wife Sneha, Social Box is built on a simple belief: good food should be fresh, nourishing, and made with care. Every meal is prepared locally by our in-house chefs using quality ingredients and real recipes. Fresh, Never Frozen — just like you would expect at home.

Our menus are dietitian-reviewed & approved, ensuring meals are balanced, nutritious, and suitable for those using Home Care Packages or NDIS funding — while still being enjoyable and comforting to eat.

What began as a small, local idea has grown into a trusted meal service across the Wide Bay. We proudly work with clients, NDIS participants and private customers, offering flexible options with no lock-in contracts. Because everyone deserves a choice.

Social Box is proudly locally owned and community focused. We support local jobs, cook everything fresh on site, and deliver meals we are genuinely proud to put our name on. No shortcuts, no freezing — just real food, made properly.
